For some, the round numbers we hear tossed around in the news are so large that we become immune to their significance. Almost as "unreal" as age-of-the-earth reports, we ignore financial numbers because they are so large, they mean nothing.
But what if we took a closer look and, by our own study and calculations, we came up with a huge number that made more sense?
Start with some easy figures:
There are 1-million pennies in $10,000.
There are 1-million square feet in 23 acres.
I wonder how to prove this one:
37,000 gallons = 1-billion drops!
Economist Paul Zane Pilzer claims there will be 1-million new millionaires every year for the next few years. (He didn't say how many will become billionaires.) So, here is a logical question: What defines a millionaire?
I would like to suggest a million-dollar asset is worthless without the millionaire mindset. Only when we are ready to create and manage the wealth will we be able to enjoy it.
